President of Universal Syriac Union Party in Lebanon Ibrahim Mrad calls for not surrendering to Hezbollah

BEIRUT — President of Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) in Lebanon Ibrahim Mrad confirmed that surrendering to the pro-Iranian Hezbollah in Lebanon is a betrayal of history, the present, the future and soil of the homeland.

Mrad stressed the necessity of continued resistance and political struggle, as well as development to reach a pivotal stage with the parties, MPs and the people.

“This stage is a revolution against occupation and a pressure on international community to implement UN Resolution No. 1559, Article 7,” Mrad added.

Mrad declared that the Syrian presence in Lebanon is no longer tolerable, indicating that the solution is to put pressure on the international community to establish camps for them within the Syrian borders and under international protection, because placing the Syrians on the borders will not help, because they will return through illegal crossings controlled by the Hezbollah.

Mrad stressed the necessity of adopting federalism to save Lebanon from illegal weapons and loyalty to external agenda, intellectually, politically, and economically.
