Former Minister Elie Maroni: USUP links all Lebanese sovereigntists

ZAHLE, Lebanon — Ibrahim Mrad, President of the Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) in Lebanon, hosted former Lebanese Minister of Tourism, MP Elie Maroni, at the USUP headquarters in Zahle.

The meeting included USUP Secretary General Michel Mallo, USUP Internal Affairs Secretary Joseph Hajjar, USUP coordinator in Zahle Joseph Hamzo, and members of the USUP Coordination Body.

The discussion centered on Lebanon’s current situation, emphasizing the need for collaboration among sovereign political forces to counter the Iranian influence, restore state institutions, and implement political and economic reforms.

Mrad condemned the recent attack on the Kataeb Central House, highlighting its history of resistance and defense of Lebanon’s freedom.
