High Electoral Commission of North and East Syria invites international observers for municipal elections
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — The High Electoral Commission of North and East Syria has invited international governmental and non-governmental organizations to monitor the upcoming municipal elections.
In a statement delivered in Raqqa by Commission Co-Chairs Hussein Sheikh and Ruken Mulla Ibrahim, the Commission announced the opening of candidacy, distribution of electoral cards, and identification of polling stations.
The Commission emphasized the importance of international monitoring to ensure a transparent electoral process. They called on observers to oversee the opening and preparation of polling stations, follow the voting process, and monitor the integrity of vote counting.
Additionally, the Commission urged the region’s residents to exercise their right to vote freely for their municipal representatives.
