Bethnahrin Women’s Union opens a food stand in Giessen, Germany
GIESSEN, Germany — Bethnahrin Women’s Union (Huyodo d’Neshe d’Bethnahrin, HNB) in Giessen, German continues to introduce the German people to Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people, as well as their situation, heritage and history.
On the occasion of Unity and Democracy Day, the HNB members actively participated in the hall of Pohlheim Municipality.
The event was organized by Foreigners Office Official Maryam Murad, and it was attended by politicians and representatives of German parties, churches and institutions.
The HNB members took the opportunity to talk about Syriac people and the HNB work at homeland of Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia) and the diaspora.
The HNB members also distributed identification brochures on the Syriac Cross Organization and its charitable works.
The HNB also opened a Syriac traditional food stand that also included selling books about the history of Syriac people.
The HNB official in Giessen thanked the Pohlheim women for providing assistance and support to the HNB to organize the stand and the sale process.
The Syriac singer Michael Dayan performed folklore songs.
