Delegation of Syriac Union Party and Suroyo TV visits Syriac Orthodox Archbishop of Sweden and Scandinavia Mor Yohanon Lahdo 

SÖDERTÄLJE, Sweden — A joint delegation that included representatives of Syriac Union Party (SUP) and Suroyo TV visited Syriac Orthodox Archbishop of Sweden and Scandinavia Mor Yohanon Lahdo in Södertälje, Sweden.

The delegation included SUP Official in Europe Branch Joseph Lahdo and Suroyo TV representatives Daniel Shabo and Rima Asmar.

The delegation extended heartfelt congratulations on the archbishop ordination and Easter, wishing him success in serving the archdiocese and parishioners.

Lahdo spoke about the SUP role in preserving churches in North and East Syria, pointing out that the SUP supports the clerics in fulfilling their religious duties.

The archbishop, in turn, thanked the SUP, as well as the Syriac Security Forces (Sutoro) who received him in every city he visited during his visit to Syria.

“The Sutoro forces maintain security and peace in the region,” he added, calling on the parties and organizations of Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people to join efforts in serving the interests of Syriac people.

Lahdo referred to the Memorandum of Understanding that has taken place in Syria between the SUP, the Assyrian Democratic Organization (ADO) and the Assyrian Democratic Party (ADP) in uniting the position on national occasions and issues related to the Syrian solution.
