Olaf Taw Association distributes gifts to students at academic year end

QABRE HEWORE, Syria — The academic year ended in schools of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES).

The official of Olaf Taw Association Saliba Yacoub stated to our news desk that they distributed gifts at the end of the school year to all primary school students who studied the Syriac language textbook prepared by the Olaf Taw Association.

Yacoub stressed the importance of the Syriac language as the native language of the Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people.

In other news, after the end of the academic year in the DAARNES schools, secondary schools’ exams were launched.

Faisal al-Khidir, Deputy Co-Chair of the DAARNES Education Authority in the Gozarto (Jazira) Canton stated to our news desk that the exams were launched as planned, in accordance with the general standards set by the training committee of the DAARNES Education Authority.

Al-Khidir added that the examination committees face many challenges, most notably the students dropout, especially in rural areas, stressing the negative impact of the dropout on the exams.
