Bethnahrin Patriotic Union Party in Iraq confirms continued struggle to obtain rights of Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people

ERBIL —  On 28^th anniversary of its founding, the Bethnahrin Patriotic Union Party in Iraq (Huyodo Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA) stated that it struggled with all faith and strength, along with all national groups of the Iraqi people against injustice and dictatorial approach.

The HBA indicated that today it is struggling to establish the rights of the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian- people in accordance with the Iraqi Constitution against anyone who tries to pervert Iraq’s path in building a multi-federal constitutional democratic state.

The HBA declared that it seeks to unite the ranks of the political parties of the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people, pointing out that it has made a positive step with 4 other political parties in this field, despite the attempt of national political groups to put obstacles in front of this approach.

The HBA stressed that the path of these parties will succeed with the awareness of the people, in establishing its historical leadership at this important stage in life of Iraqi people, including the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people.

The statement stressed that the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian- people should renounce the conspiracy of subordination and affiliation to forces from other peoples and other parties. Rather, they should make their own struggle and be a friend to every people or party that believes in the rights of the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people nationally and globally.

The HBA stated that it is ready for a joint national struggle to achieve true national partnership, indicating that it rejects every form of political and national marginalization at the national level as a whole.
