Olaf Taw Association for Syriac Language concludes summer session for children with celebration
ZALIN, North and East Syria — The Olaf Taw Association for Syriac Language concluded its summer session for children with a celebration at the Zalka Kindergarten in Zalin (Qamishli), North and East Syria. The children later visited Mar Aho Church in the village of Al-Damkhiyya in the Zalin countryside.
The festivities featured an exhibition of children’s handicrafts, various competitions, gift distribution, and folkloric dances. Administrators from Olaf Taw and Zalka Kindergarten, and families of the children attended the event.
Children performed Syriac national and traditional folk songs, creating an atmosphere of joy and happiness. The course supervisors distributed gifts to the children, and the families expressed their gratitude to the Olaf Taw Association for their dedicated efforts.
Mai, a member of the Syriac Cultural Society, praised the students’ success and expressed appreciation to all contributors, including the families who supported their children’s education in the authentic Syriac language, the heritage of their ancestors.
