European Syriac Union to hold a conference on 109 anniversary of 1915 Sayfo Genocide
BRUSSELS — On 16 June, the European Syriac Union (ESU) will hold a conference on the 109 anniversary of 1915 Sayfo Genocide, at hall of St. John the Baptist of the Chaldean Church in Brussels, Belgium.
The conference will be attended by representatives of the Armenians and Pontic-Greeks who were also afflicted by the Genocide of the first World War in the Anatolia region.
The conference, which will start from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., will discuss 5 topics. The first axis will be dedicated to the representatives of the 3 peoples who were victims of the Sayfo Genocide. The second axis will be dedicated to the elderly, men and women to express their opinions about the 1915 Genocide. The third axis will address the damage caused to churches during the Sayfo, in the presence of priests from the Syriac, Chaldean, Armenian and Greek churches.
The fourth axis will also be devoted to showing the extent of youth knowledge about the Sayfo, while the fifth axis will be devoted to Belgian and European MPs to express their views on the Sayfo Genocide.
The ESU calls on all Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people to participate in this conference.
