Lebanese Syriac journalist Nayla Tueni wins International Women’s Champion Award
BEIRUT — The International Women’s Foundation announced that Nayla Tueni, Lebanese Syriac journalist and President of the An-Nahar Group, has won the International Women’s Champion Award, to be presented at the upcoming Davos for Global Women in Cannes, France.
The Foundation stated that Tueni, a prominent Lebanese journalist and politician, is honored in recognition of her outstanding contributions to journalism and press freedom, as well as her tireless defense of women’s rights and equality.
As the CEO and editor-in-chief of the prestigious Arabic-language newspaper An-Nahar, Tueni has become a symbol of hope and empowerment for women in the Middle East.
