Turkish and Turkish-backed forces renew attacks on agricultural crops in North and East Syria
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — Turkish forces and their Syrian National Army (SNA) proxies resumed targeting agricultural crops in North and East Syria ahead of the harvest season, aiming to displace residents and occupy their lands.
Crops in three cantons have been targeted: Mabbug (Manbij), Euphrates, and Gozarto (Jazira), causing significant material losses to farmers. More than 2,000 hectares have been affected, including:

- 1,961 hectares in the countryside of Mabbug
- 219 hectares in Ayn Issa
- 150 hectares in the countryside of Zalin (Qamishli) and Amuda
- 94 hectares in the countryside of Tel Tamr
- 19 hectares in the countryside of Abu Rasayn (Zarkan)
Additionally, over 19,000 fruit trees have been burned, mostly in Mabbug.
Civil defense and emergency teams have managed to extinguish 44 fires in agricultural areas near Tel Abyad and 300 in Mabbug.
