President of Universal Syriac Union Party in Lebanon Ibrahim Mrad calls for ending Iranian control over Lebanon
BEIRUT — Commenting on the threats of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah against Israel and Cyprus, the President of the Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) in Lebanon and Secretary General of the Christian Front Ibrahim Mrad issued a statement.
“The pro-Iranian Hezbollah continues to isolate Lebanon from friendly European countries, as it previously did with the Gulf countries, amid silence of the submissive caretaker government,” Mrad stated.
Mrad considered that Nasrallah threat to Cyprus, which has good relations with Lebanon and its people, is a proof of Iranian control over Lebanon.
He called on opposition parties, MPs and forces from all parties to negotiate for one fundamental demand, which is implementation of UN Resolution No. 1559.
Mrad called on the Lebanese people to rise up against Hezbollah.
