Turkish Army establishes new military points and checkpoints in Kurdistan Region of Iraq, arrests 10 Kurdish citizens
NOHADRA, Kurdistan Region of Iraq — As part of the ongoing expansion of its military presence in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), the Turkish Army has established new military points along the borders of the Kani Blavi and Belizani regions in the Nohadra (Duhok) Governorate. In addition, the Turkish Army set up checkpoints and systematically arrested Kurdish citizens, detaining approximately 10 individuals.
A military convoy of the Turkish occupation army also moved towards Amdiye District in Nohadra. The convoy, comprising forty armored vehicles, was equipped with heavy weapons and machine guns, indicating a significant increase in the Turkish military presence in the region.
