Christian Front condemns Hezbollah and Amal Movement campaign against Syriac Maronite Patriarch al-Rai and Christian leaders
BEIRUT — During its regular meeting at its headquarters in Achrafieh, Beirut, the Christian Front in Lebanon stated that the ongoing campaign by the Shiite duo (Hezbollah and Amal Movement) against Syriac Maronite Patriarch Mor Bechara Boutros al-Rai and Christian leaders is no longer acceptable.
“Supporters of Hezbollah and the Amal Movement have launched a campaign targeting the Syriac Maronite Patriarch and Christian leaders,” the Christian Front stated.
The Front emphasized that remaining silent about accusations against Christian leaders, threats against opponents, and dragging Lebanon into wars and destruction is no longer acceptable.
The Front called on Syriac Maronite Patriarch al-Rai, as well as all Christian and national leaders and authorities of all denominations, to stand against these actions that promote hatred towards Lebanon and its people.
“The dignity of the Christian and free Lebanese community remains above all considerations,” the Front asserted, stressing its commitment to the culture of life, joy, and peace.
