Assyrian Riders visit Syriac Orthodox church in Södertälje, Sweden

SÖDERTÄLJE, Sweden — A delegation from the Assyrian Riders motorcycle club visited the Syriac Orthodox Archdiocese in Sweden and met with Archbishop Mor Yohanon Lahdo of Sweden and Scandinavia at the Mor Jacob Church in Södertälje.

The two sides discussed prominent issues concerning the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people in Sweden. They also lit candles in memory of the martyrs of the 1915 Sayfo Genocide.

The Assyrian Riders in Sweden includes members from Sweden, Germany, France, and the US. Its aim is to unite Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) motorcyclists and strengthen the unity of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean), with a particular interest in raising awareness about the Sayfo Genocide.
