Nujaba Movement condemns silence over Turkish violations of Iraqi sovereignty
BAGHDAD — Ali al-Asadi, Political Council Chairman of the Nujaba Movement in Iraq, delivered a strong message via social media condemning the continued Turkish violations of Iraqi sovereignty and criticizing the silence of the Iraqi government and Kurdish politicians.
“It seems that the patriotism of some Baghdad politicians and all Kurdish politicians in northern Iraq has been silenced or that they have nothing to do with what is happening as long as the violator is Turkey,” Asadi stated. “There are blatant Turkish violations of military forces on Iraqi territory.”
Al-Asadi expressed his frustration with the perceived inaction and lack of response from Iraqi officials.
“Where is the Iraqi government? Where are the meetings and visits of Iraqi and Turkish officials? It is as if they have agreed to violate the sovereignty of Iraq and not respect its sovereignty,” he concluded.
