Syriac Progressive Youth Union holds lecture in Qabre Hewore, North and East Syria, on dangers of drugs
QABRE HEWORE, Syria — As part of its ongoing activities, the Qabre Hewore (Qahtaniyah) Branch of the Syriac Progressive Youth Union held a lecture on the dangers of drugs and their negative effects on youth.
The lecture, attended by local Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) youth, began with a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs. Malik Asmar, an official from the Education Committee, delivered the lecture.
Several key topics were covered, including the definition and types of drugs, the dangers drugs pose to mental and physical health, and the role of society in protecting individuals. Additional subjects discussed included the causes of addiction, the goals of drug trafficking, and the responsibility of youth to spread awareness and combat this scourge.
The event concluded with a discussion session, where attendees could ask questions and engage in dialogue.
