Bethnahrin National Council celebrates 24th anniversary in Hengelo, Netherlands
HENGELO, Netherlands — Over the past few days, an event was held at the Syriac Club in Hengelo, Netherlands, by representatives of various institutions of the Bethnahrin National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB).
Supporters and members of the MUB were invited to this event, which marked the 24th anniversary of MUB’s founding.
The European Syriac Union (ESU) official in the Netherlands, Yilmaz Irgun, congratulated the MUB chairman, members, and everyone supporting the MUB’s national struggle.
Irgun emphasized the urgent need to continue the resistance to ensure the rights of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people in their homeland and the diaspora, so they remain connected to their identity.
The event included positive discussions, and attendees enjoyed traditional Syriac food.
In conclusion, the event organizers thanked everyone who supports the MUB’s national struggle, which has been ongoing for 24 years, with special thanks to the MUB supporters in the Netherlands.
