Turkish forces bombard North and East Syria, causing damage and displacement

TEL TAMR, Syria — Turkish occupation forces continue their bombardment of North and East Syria, aiming to intimidate residents, force evacuations, loot property, alter demographics, and settle Turkish-backed factions in the area, according to local officials.

Recently, Turkish forces heavily shelled the village of Al-Tawila in the countryside of Tel Tamr, north of Hasakah. Military sources in the region reported that several artillery shells struck Al-Tawila, causing material damage.

The sources added that Turkish forces have been shelling the villages of Al-Tawila, Tel Tawil, and Timar (Umm al-Keif) in the Tel Tamr countryside for three consecutive days, resulting in significant material losses to civilians’ property, homes, and cars.

The Syriac Military Council (Mawthbo Fulhoyo Suryoyo, MFS) and the Tel Tamr Military Council, stationed along the Tel Tamr axis, are actively confronting Turkish attacks and attempts to infiltrate the villages of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people in the Khabur River Valley, inflicting heavy losses on the attackers.
