Political parties in North and East Syria condemn Syrian-Turkish rapprochement
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA —Thirty-three political parties and entities in North and East Syria, including the Syriac Union Party (SUP) and other parties of the Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people, condemned the recent rapprochement between the Turkish regime and the Syrian regime.
The parties stated that normalization between the Turkish regime and the Syrian regime will not improve the situation in Syria.
Rather, it will give legitimacy to the Turkish control and exacerbate the Syrian crisis.
The parties condemned the policies of the Syrian Opposition Alliance, which defends the Turkish policies at the expense of the Syrian people interests in freedom and dignity.
They called the democratic political parties to a Syrian national conference, with the aim of pressuring the Syrian regime for a Syrian-Syrian dialogue.
They also called on the international community and the UN to support the demands of the Syrian people and the implementation of UN Resolution No. 2254 to resolve the Syrian crisis.
