Political parties of Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people in Iraq condemn decisions of Nineveh Provincial Council
NINEVEH, Iraq — Following the decisions issued by the Nineveh Provincial Council about changing the majority of Administrative Units Heads in the Nineveh Governorate, 5 political parties of Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people in Iraq, namely the Bethnahrin Patriotic Union in Iraq (Huyodo Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA), Assyrian National Party, the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian Popular Council, Beth Nahrin Democratic Party and the Assyrian Democratic Movement, issued a statement condemning these ” illegal” decisions.
The statement declared that these decisions are aimed at targeting the competent and loyal officials without a legal point of view, which is a dangerous precedent in administrative dealings.
This also imposes certain political will and bypasses the political consensus.
The statement added that such decisions will produce significant negatives in society, the first of which is the loss of confidence in the Nineveh Provincial Council, which is considered the Administrative Body elected by the people, which is supposed to express its aspirations.
