UAE judiciary sentences 43 to life imprisonment due to Muslim Brotherhood links

DUBAI, UAE —  A United Arab Emirates (UAE) court sentenced 43 dissidents to life imprisonment for operating what it said was a Muslim Brotherhood group that aimed to commit attacks in the country.

Eleven others received lesser sentences and 6 companies were convicted of money laundering to support a terrorist organization.

The court also sentenced 5 people to 15 years in prison for collaborating and advocating through articles they published on social media to organize the call for terrorist reform, which the authorities consider linked to the Muslim Brotherhood.
