Universal Syriac Union Party to commemorate Syriac martyrs in Zahle, Lebanon

ZAHLE, Lebanon — In commemoration of the annual anniversary of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Lebanon and its people, the Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) will hold an event on 27 July.

The ceremony will begin with the playing of the national anthem of Lebanon and the USUP anthem. Wreaths of roses will then be placed on the Martyrs’ Monument.

Many parties are set to participate in the celebration, including the Lebanese Kataeb Party, the National Liberal Party, the Cedar Guards Party, and Lebanese Forces.

The event will be held on Saturday, 27 July, at the Syriac Martyrs Square in Zahle, starting at 6:30 p.m.
