Displaced Christians in south Lebanon face aid shortages amid ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah

RMAICH, Lebanon — The ongoing war between the Israeli Army and Iranian-backed Hezbollah in south Lebanon, which has raged since October last year as a result of the escalation in fighting between Israel and Hamas has led to severe hardships for many displaced Christians. Forced to flee their villages for safer areas, these families are now experiencing a significant shortage of aid.

The difficulties extend beyond the lack of aid to include a desperate search for housing. Many families are crammed into shared accommodations due to the scarcity of available homes, exacerbating their plight.

Displaced Christians in south Lebanon feel neglected and forgotten, recalling similar suffering during the July 2006 war. Despite the current conflict, more than 3,000 Christian families remain in their homes across various towns in south Lebanon, enduring the ongoing turmoil with little support.
