34 political parties from North and East Syria condemn Turkish attacks on Syria and Iraq, urge international intervention
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — In a unified denunciation of ongoing Turkish attacks on Syria and Iraq, 34 political parties and organizations from the North and East Syria issued a statement condemning these aggressions. They called on international forces, organizations, and the global community to intervene and halt the violations. Notable signatories included the Syriac Union Party (SUP) and the Assyrian Democratic Party (ADP).
The statement emphasized the necessity of stopping Turkish attacks against all regional peoples, including the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) communities, who have endured Turkish violations since the 1915 Sayfo Genocide to the present day.
It also underscored the importance of maintaining the territorial integrity of Syria and Iraq. The statement urged the Syrian and Iraqi governments to fulfill their humanitarian and moral obligations by addressing these transgressions and crimes against humanity, as well as the destruction of the natural environment.
Furthermore, the statement called on the international community, relevant institutions, and the Arab League to take decisive action to prevent these brutal attacks and preserve the unity and sovereignty of Syria and Iraq.
