SDF General Commander Mazloum Abdi calls for dialogue to resolve Syrian crisis
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — In a speech marking the 12th anniversary of the 19 July Revolution, General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Mazloum Abdi expressed readiness for dialogue with all parties, including Turkey, to find a solution to the 13-year Syrian crisis.
In a speech published on the SDF’s official website, Abdi emphasized that the Syrian crisis cannot be resolved through violence, war, and fighting; instead, dialogue is essential.
“We are ready for dialogue with all forces, including Turkey, and we will support any dialogue leading to a cessation of hostilities and a political solution to the crisis,” Abdi stated.
He also highlighted that the SDF and all ethnic components of North and East Syria have fundamental principles and rights that must be respected.
Abdi reaffirmed the commitment to the unity of Syrian territory, a principle the SDF continues to uphold and fight for.
