People of Beth Nahrin and Kurdistan to protest Treaty of Lausanne in Switzerland

LAUSANNE, Switzerland — On 27 July, the peoples of Beth Nahrin and Kurdistan will gather in Saint François Square in Lausanne, Switzerland, to mark the anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne, which excluded them from international decisions regarding their national rights.

The demonstration, titled “The Peoples of Beth Nahrin and Kurdistan Reject the Treaty of Lausanne,” highlights the sentiment that the treaty implemented policies of marginalization and denial against these communities. Among the organizing entities is the European Syriac Union (ESU).

Representatives of the participating parties emphasized that the peoples of Beth Nahrin and Kurdistan must rely on their own strength and resistance to determine their destiny and future. They condemned the policies of denial and exclusion, urging all communities to join the demonstration on 27 July at 13:00 in Saint François Square.
