Foundation for new Syriac Orthodox church laid in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES — The foundations for a news Syriac Orthodox church serving the Syriac community of Los Angeles, Californian, USA, has been laid.
The building will house the Church of St. Peter, along with an attached salon, a sports venue, and a school. The Syriac community in the city recently held a foundation stone-laying event for the church, which is set to become a central hub for their activities.
The event was attended by various delegations, including city officials such as San Dimas Mayor Emmett Badar and his wife, as well as Municipal Council members Chris Constantin and John Rizkalla.
The organizers thanked everyone who contributed to supporting the construction of the church and the organizing of the event.
