IRAQ: Beth Nahrin Organization for Women hosts educational and cultural camp in Nineveh Plains

SHEKHAN, Iraq — As part of its ongoing efforts to hold entertaining and informative events and programs for the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian community, the Beth Nahrin Organization for Women (BNOW) held an intellectual and entertainment camp in Shekhan, Nineveh.

The 4-day camp featured a variety of programs, including political, intellectual, cultural, and educational lectures aimed at developing women and youth at all levels. The sessions also included lessons on the history of the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people.

The lectures were delivered under the supervision and management of BNOW’s leadership, with presentations by members Shmuni, Yousef, and Ablahad. Each of them provided insights on the political situation in the region and the role of youth in society.

A total of 18 women and 5 young women participated in the camp.

The camp concluded with an entertainment program and a closing evening that included various recreational activities and events.
