Security forces of North and East Syria arrests seven ISIS members in Al-Hol Camp
AL-HOL, North and East Syria — As part of its efforts to curb the activities of the Islamic State (ISIS) and their sleeper cells in North and East Syria, the Internal Security Forces (ISF) arrested seven ISIS terrorists in Al-Hol camp, east of Hasakah.
The ISF Media Center confirmed that the General Security Service and Special Forces carried out a targeted security operation in Al-Hol Camp, resulting in the arrest of seven terrorists who were part of an ISIS cell.
The operation followed a careful follow-up and analysis of information conducted by the General Security Service after suspecting a group working with ISIS, the Center reported.
After verifying the information, the security operation included raids on seven different locations within the camp.
The Center noted that the ISF has begun preliminary investigations with the detainees, revealing their plans to carry out terrorist acts within the camp.
