Syriac Union Party and Syrian Democratic Council hold dialogue seminar in Hasakah, North and East Syria to discuss Syrian–Syrian dialogue

HASAKAH, North and East Syria — A dialogue seminar was recently held in Hasakah, North and East Syria, between the Syriac Union Party (SUP) and the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC). The aim was to enhance cooperation between the two sides and advance Syrian–Syrian dialogue.

The seminar commenced with a minute of silence to honor martyrs. Following this, attendees discussed the political document and the SDC’s vision for resolving the Syrian crisis. They also explored common issues and opportunities for collaborative work.

Several key recommendations emerged from the discussions, including genuine participation in national initiatives and diplomatic representation both inside and outside Syria. The participants also stressed the importance of officially recognizing the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people in accordance with the social contract.

Concluding the symposium, both parties committed to developing a roadmap and political vision for the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) political forces. They agreed to continue cooperation with the SDC in activities aimed at resolving the Syrian crisis and to work towards establishing a suitable platform for Syrian–Syrian dialogue. The SUP expressed its readiness to fulfill its responsibilities in this collaborative effort.
