Universal Syriac Union Party leaders meet in Zahle, Lebanon, to discuss crisis preparedness in case of war

ZAHLE, Lebanon — As part of ongoing political visits, Michel Melo, Secretary-General of the Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP), accompanied by Antoine Dawalibi from the Zahle Coordination Committee, met with Wissam Trad and other officials from Lebanon’s Zahle region.

During the meeting, both parties lauded the strong and distinguished relations between them. They also discussed Lebanon’s current challenges and emphasized the need for internal solidarity. The discussions included calls for establishing a crisis cell at the city level to ensure the basic needs of residents are met in case of war or other emergencies.
