Syrian Democratic Council and European Syriac Union host dialogue symposium in Brussels on Syrian–Syrian reconciliation
BRUSSELS — In Brussels, a dialogue symposium on Syrian–Syrian dialogue was held, featuring participation from politicians, political party representatives, young people, and activists from the diaspora. The event was organized jointly by the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) and the European Syriac Union (ESU).
Majid al-Kurru, the SDC representative in the Netherlands, opened the symposium by welcoming the attendees and facilitating discussions among the participants.
Fahmi Virgili, Co-Chair of the ESU, praised the SDC for its efforts in fostering national dialogue, emphasizing that it is the sole entity actively pursuing this goal through its national project.
Hassan Muhammad Ali, Co-Chair of the SDC Relations Office, addressed the challenges facing North and East Syria amid ongoing international and regional conflicts. He highlighted the SDC’s perseverance in advancing Syrian–Syrian dialogue despite numerous obstacles.
Dr. Rizgar Qasim, SDC representative in Germany, underscored the significance of Syrian–Syrian dialogue, affirming that the SDC remains open to all parties to promote national unity and dialogue.
