Administration of North and East Syria condemns claimed Islamic State attack in Germany, calls for global action against terrorism
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — The Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES) extended its deepest condolences to the German people and the families of the victims of the 24 August (Islamic State (ISIS) attack, emphasizing the urgent need to eliminate the sources of support for terrorist groups, particularly from Turkey, which continues to harbor remnants of Al-Nusra and ISIS under various aliases.
In a statement, DAARNES highlighted the ongoing dangers posed by ISIS, which it has consistently warned about since the group’s defeat in Baghouz, Syria, in 2019. The recent terrorist attack in Solingen, Germany, which claimed three lives and injured eight others, underscores the need for international solidarity to confront the threats that ISIS poses to global security and stability.
DAARNES offered its condolences to the families of the victims and the German people, while wishing a speedy recovery for the injured. It also warned of the resurgence of terrorism, fueled by extremist ideologies like that of ISIS, and accused regional powers, particularly Turkey, of facilitating these efforts to reorganize and spread terror.
