Bethnahrin Patriotic Union hosts youth leadership lecture in Baghdede, Iraq
BAGHDEDE, Iraq — Under the theme “Hope and Leader Makers,” the Baghdede Local Committee of the Bethnahrin Patriotic Union (Huyodo Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA) organized a lecture for the youth of the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian community in the Nineveh Plains town of Baghdede (Qaraqosh / Hamdaniyah), Iraq.
The event began with a moment of silence to honor the souls of the martyrs from the HBA, the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people, and all the martyrs of Iraq.
Samer Shamoun, the HBA Committee official, welcomed the attendees before delivering the lecture. He discussed concepts relevant to the current stage of youth development, comparing the experiences of past and present generations.
Shamoun also emphasized the importance of youth leadership in navigating a realistic life that meets challenges head-on, particularly in the context of the struggles faced by the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian community and Iraq as a whole.
At the conclusion of the lecture, attendees were invited to share their opinions and suggestions, leading to several valuable contributions from the youth.
