BETH NAHRIN — On the occasion of Suroyo TV’s 20th anniversary, the broadcaster’s annual ceremony will be held in Midyat (Medyad), Turkey, in the historic region of Tur Abdin, on 15 September. The event will be broadcast live on Suroyo TV and is set to begin at 8:30 PM in hall of the Akitu Hotel, according to the event’s preparatory committee.
The ceremony will feature speeches, interviews, and other activities. As in previous years, the event will honor individuals and institutions that have supported Suroyo TV and the national aspirations of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people.
Syriac artists Murad Karam and Augeen Tadaris are scheduled to perform Syriac national and popular songs during the ceremony.
The preparatory committee has extended an invitation to all Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people, both in their homeland and in the diaspora, to attend the three anniversary events, which will take place in Turkey, Germany, and the United States. The committee also congratulated everyone on the 20th anniversary of Suroyo TV’s launch.
