Mass protests across North and East Syria condemn Turkish attacks and Russian collusion
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — Widespread demonstrations were held across North and East Syria, with thousands denouncing the ongoing crimes committed by the Turkish occupation forces. Protesters in cities such as Ma’bada and Al-Jawadiya voiced their outrage not only at Turkish aggression but also at the perceived complicity of Russian forces in these actions. Carrying flags and banners, demonstrators condemned Turkish fascism, labeling it as “global terrorism.”
The protests also highlighted the incident involving the Russian forces, who recently ran over a young woman, Avin Issa, during a joint Russian-Turkish patrol in the village of Dirona Agha, near Al-Jawadiya. This incident has further fueled anger among the local population.
In the city of Tabqa, demonstrators gathered in front of the Revolutionary Youth Center, chanting slogans against the Turkish occupation. Similar scenes unfolded in Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor), where protestors — among them representatives of local councils, members of civil institutions, martyrs’ families councils, women’s committees, and the Zenobia Women’s Association — condemned Turkey’s actions and criticized the international community’s silence.
In Holeb’s (Aleppo) Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, demonstrators carried photos of martyrs who fell victim to Turkish drone strikes and held banners condemning the ongoing Turkish attacks. The unified message across these protests was a call for an end to Turkish aggression and greater international attention to the plight of the people in these regions.
