Democratic Peoples’ Council of Gozarto Canton, North and East Syria, holds 11th session, approves new logo Executive Council and administrative appointments

ZALIN, North and East Syria — The Democratic Peoples’ Council of Gozarto (Jazira) Canton, within the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES), held its 11th regular session at the Zalin (Qamishli) headquarters. The session was attended by the Presidential Body of the Executive Council and the Presidential Body of the Democratic Peoples’ Council.

The session began with the reading of reports from the previous session in the region’s three languages — Syriac, Kurdish, and Arabic — followed by the Council’s agenda for the current session.

During the meeting, the new logo for the Executive Council of Gozarto (Jazira) Canton, based on the new Social Contract, was presented for a vote. The logo was approved for use on the seal and official documents issued by the Executive Council.

The Council also approved the addition of Ilham Omar as a new member, along with Hadiya al-Ali and Warde Hanna, who will join the Council’s Bureau.

Furthermore, the Education Authority presented a detailed report on its preparations for the upcoming academic year, outlining the challenges it faces and potential solutions.
