Administration of North and East Syria celebrates 6th anniversary in Raqqa with official and public participation

RAQQA, North and East Syria — The Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of the North and East Syria (DAARNES) marked its 6th anniversary with an official ceremony in Raqqa, attended by a wide array of representatives from various councils and organizations.

The event was attended by Co-Chairs of the DAARNES Democratic Peoples’ Council, Executive Council, and Social Justice Council, along with co-chairs of various DAARNES bodies, departments, offices, and the Canton Executive Councils. Representatives from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Martyrs’ Families Council, the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), as well as political parties and women’s and youth organizations, were also present.

The ceremony featured speeches in the three official languages of North and East Syria — Syriac, Kurdish, and Arabic — which addressed the ongoing Syrian crisis. Speakers emphasized that current proposed solutions remain distant from the aspirations and needs of the Syrian people, as many parties prioritize seizing power over addressing citizens’ futures.

The event concluded with congratulations to the people of North and East Syria and the families of martyrs on the occasion of the anniversary.
