Chaldean Patriarch Sako promotes two Baghdad priests to episcopal rank in ceremony
BAGHDAD — During a Mass at the Chaldean Cathedral of Mar Yusuf in Baghdad, Chaldean Patriarch Mar Louis Raphael Sako elevated two Baghdad priests, Father Nadir Dakko and Father Firas Danial, to the rank of episcopate.
Sako was joined by Auxiliary Archbishops Mar Shlemon Warduni and Patriarchal Assistant Mar Baselios Yeldo, as well as Father Charles Lawanga Sona, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Vatican Embassy in Baghdad. The ceremony was attended by priests, nuns, and a large gathering of believers.
In his address, Patriarch Sako congratulated the new archbishops and expressed his gratitude for their dedicated service. He also thanked the attendees for their prayers and participation in the celebration.
Following the ceremony, the attendees were invited to a communal dinner.
