High Property Committee delegation visits General Administration of Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — As part of its efforts to safeguard the property of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) and Armenian communities, a delegation from the High Property Committee visited the Office of Real Estate Affairs within the General Administration of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) in North and East Syria.
The High Property Committee established by the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES) plays a pivotal role in managing and preserving the properties of absentees from the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) and Armenian communities.
The discussions focused on organizing contracts related to property management while ensuring the privacy and protection of these communities’ assets.
In April, the Committee assumed responsibility for the management of churches and their endowments in Raqqa after completing rehabilitation and restoration work. The handover ceremony, held at the Church of the Martyrs, included the participation of members of the Democratic Islam Conference, Arab, Kurdish, Muslim, Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean), and Armenian religious leaders, as well as Siham Quryo, Co-Chair of the Democratic Peoples’ Council.
