ZALIN, Syria — The Syriac Union Party (SUP) in Syria issued a telegram of condolence on music legend passing away Evin Agassi.
“We received the sad news of passing away of the great national artist Evin Agassi who served his nation through his songs. Agassi was the right person to embody the lofty goal of his nation. His songs were an effective weapon to spread national awareness and non-compliance to injustice. His name will remain in hearts and minds of all,” read the SUP telegram.
The SUP stated that with this sad news, a symbol of great art passed away, leaving behind an immortal musical legacy.
The SUP telegram indicated that Agassi voice was the melody of heritage and his words embodied the pains and hopes of his people.
