Syrian Democratic Council holds dialogue seminar in Södertälje, Sweden
SÖDERTÄLJE, Sweden — The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) of North and East Syria organized a dialogue seminar at the Beth Nahrin Cultural Center in Södertälje, Sweden, with the participation of Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean), Kurdish, and Arab political and media activists.
Joseph Lahdo, the representative of the Syriac Union Party (SUP) in Sweden, and Rezkar Kassim, the session’s moderator, opened the seminar by welcoming the attendees. They began with a minute of silence to honor martyrs.
Kassim discussed the SDC’s activities both at home and abroad, as well as the Council’s efforts to engage with the Syrian community through seminars and to introduce its project.
Hassan Mohammed Ali, Co-Chair of the SDC Relations Office, delivered a speech highlighting the importance of Syrian–Syrian dialogue in shaping the future of a new Syria.
Ali Rahmon, SDC Deputy Co-Chair, emphasized the concept of decentralization and the significance of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria’s (DAARNES) role in Syria’s political landscape.
Following the speeches, the floor was opened for attendees to share their views and ask questions.
