President of Universal Syriac Union Party in Lebanon Ibrahim Mrad calls on Lebanese Army to protect citizens, amid escalated war

BEIRUT —  President of the Universal Syriac Union Party in Lebanon (USUP) Ibrahim Mrad called on the pro-Iranian Hezbollah in Lebanon to get out of civilian areas in order avoid endangering their lives.

Mrad appealed to the Lebanese Army Commander General Joseph Aoun to play his role and protect Lebanese citizens from the war which has reached populated places.

Mrad demanded the deployment of the Lebanese Army around schools, public facilities and civilian places to prevent Hezbollah from controlling them and turning them into weapons centers.

Mrad called on all Lebanese society groups to demonstrate to end the war that was ignited for the sake of Iranian projects, otherwise Beirut situation will be similar to Gaza’s.
