BERLIN — The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) held a political dialogue session in Berlin, Germany.
It addressed the political developments in Syria, as well as the Syrian-Syrian dialogue.
The session was attended by representatives of political movements and cultural organizations, as well as prominent national figures.
The SDC representative in Germany Rezkar Kassim spoke about the SDC efforts in promoting a comprehensive national dialogue.
Co-Chair of the SDC Relations Office Hassan Mohammed Ali reviewed the current political developments and regional challenges.
He also warned of a potential Turkish destabilization of the region, taking advantage of the international preoccupation with regional and international wars.
He pointed out to the failure of the political Islam project in Syria, stressing the religious and cultural diversity of the Syrian society.
Ali indicated that the best solution for Syria lies in applying decentralization and promoting a unified national identity.
The session was concluded by discussion with the attendees, who unanimously supported the SDC efforts in its quest to achieve a comprehensive national dialogue and find a political solution to the Syrian crisis.
