Syriac Union Party in Syria commemorates 19th anniversary of its founding
HASAKAH, QABRE HEWORE , Syria — On the 19th anniversary of its founding, the Syriac Union Party (SUP) in Syria, Hasakah Branch, held a lecture about SUP struggle for the rights of the Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people.
The lecture witnessed the participation of SUP members and a crowd of Syriac people.
On the sidelines of the lecture, member of the SUP Executive Body Vivian Bahho Oussi delivered a speech in which she touched upon the SUP role and works over 19 years.
SUP Co-Chair Sanharib Barsom spoke about the SUP path and the current political situation in the region.
Then, the attendees’ questions were discussed.
A dialogue session was also held at the SUP Branch in Qabre Hewore (Qahtaniyah), on the 19th anniversary of SUP founding.
In comments to our news desk, SUP Co-Chair Shamiram Danho spoke about the SUP works since its establishment in 2005 until now, pointing out that the main goal of SUP founding was to demand the rights of the Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean- Assyrian) people.
Danho also sent congratulations to all SUP members and all Syriac people on this occasion, in particular to the martyrs for the rights of their people and historical land.
