North and East Syria prepares to receive Syrian refugees from Lebanon, says DAARNES foreign relations official Gulistan Ali

ZALIN, Syria — In an interview with the Syriac Press newsdesk, Deputy Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES) Gulistan Ali confirmed that DAARNES is ready to welcome Syrian refugees from Lebanon, as well as Lebanese citizens fleeing their country.

“In response to the appeals of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, DAARNES has formed a crisis cell to facilitate the entry of refugees wishing to return to North and East Syria,” Ali said.

She explained that the DAARNES administration has prepared the Nowruz, Arisha, and Adnaniya Camps to accommodate those who have no homes or relatives in the region.

Ali also highlighted the increasing number of daily arrivals to North and East Syria.

She mentioned that a committee had been established in Lebanon by DAARNES representatives, which coordinates closely with the crisis cell.

“This committee sends lists of those wishing to return, while the crisis cell ensures their safe passage into North and East Syria through three main crossings,” Ali stated.
