UN: No aid has entered Gaza since 1 October

GAZA STRIP — During a United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting, Acting Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Joyce Msuya delivered her second briefing within a week, highlighting the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Msuya confirmed that no food aid had entered northern Gaza since 1 October, calling the level of suffering in the area unbearable. She emphasized that humanitarian access is nearly impossible, a situation she described as unacceptable.

Msuya further detailed the brutal conditions in Gaza, with daily bombings, intense fighting, and severely restricted access to essential supplies and aid.

US Permanent Representative to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield called on Israeli authorities to collaborate with the UN and international community to create a plan for civilian relocation within Gaza. She urged Israel to facilitate, rather than obstruct, efforts to provide temporary shelter and to restore basic services such as water, electricity, and sanitation.
