Syriac humanitarian aid organizations launch fundraising campaign for displaced Lebanese families
BEIRUT — Humanitarian organizations Syriac Cross Organization for Relief and Development and Stichting Schlomo have launched a fundraising campaign to support Lebanese families forced to flee their homes due to the ongoing war.
Lebanon is currently enduring a fierce conflict between the Iranian-backed Hezbollah and the Israeli Army, resulting in mass displacement, including the country’s large Christian population.
Through social media, the two organizations initiated the campaign to combat the spread of diseases caused by hunger and poor hygiene. They emphasized the urgent need for assistance, especially with winter approaching.
“Displaced families have neither safe shelter nor the means to provide for their children’s basic needs,” the organizations stated.
