Bethnahrin Women’s Union holds educational camp for Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) women in Switzerland

SWITZERLAND — Education remains a core pillar of the Bethnahrin Women’s Union (Huyodo d’Neshe d’Bethnahrin, HNB) in its global activities. Recently, HNB organized an educational and organizational camp for Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) women in Switzerland.

The camp began with introductions, followed by lectures from the Education Committee on topics such as personality types, the organization’s mission, the history and issues of women’s rights, and the HNB’s and Bethnahrin National Council’s (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB) legacy of struggle. Workshops encouraged discussions, where participants shared opinions and insights.

Father Lennar Kakyona of the Ancient Church of the East and Father Behnam Gewargis of the Syriac Catholic Church held prayers and masses in the monastery. The program also included recreational, cultural, and religious activities, engaging all participants.

The camp, which began on 20 October, will run for six days.
